About the Role

As Senior Product Marketing Manager, Business Value Narrative, you will help define Microsoft’s point of view on FinOps, the economics of AI, and the future of work. You will turn complex pricing and consumption models, product capabilities, market trends, research, and customer evidence into simple, compelling narratives and bring them to life through thought leadership, keynotes, launches, research, customer evidence, field enablement, and executive conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Help define and evolve Microsoft’s Business Value for AI narrative, including the role FinOps plays in helping organizations plan, control, and optimize AI investments and connect them to measurable business outcomes.
  • Translate pricing models and value-measurement methods into plain-language web page messaging, stories, key terms, and explainers that help business leaders quickly understand FinOps for AI and make informed decisions.
  • Write and edit executive content on AI economics, including keynote material, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Partner with product marketing, product, and engineering teams to land FinOps capabilities in launches and major moments, keeping the story consistent from the keynote stage to the customer conversation.
  • Equip field and partner teams with talk tracks, briefing documents, and customer-ready assets for credible conversations about AI cost and value.
  • Shape research and thought leadership on how organizations are reorganizing budgets, teams, and accountability to fund and govern AI, drawing evidence from customers, usage data, and research partners.
  • Build strong cross-functional and cross-team partnerships to align narratives, connect complementary perspectives, and amplify thought leadership from across Microsoft.
  • Track how media, analysts, and competitors cover AI economics, and use what you learn to find the angles others miss.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional writing experience as a journalist or editor, or as an in-house writer at a technology company or large enterprise, with a portfolio of published work.
  • Background in economics through a degree, substantial coursework, or professional experience covering or working in economics, finance, or markets.
  • Experience reporting on or writing about markets, corporate finance, or the economics of technology, with published work that makes those topics accessible to a broad audience.
  • Experience writing for or with senior executives, including speeches, bylines, or newsletters.
