About the Role

Correctional medicine offers a challenging and exciting opportunity for dental professionals to utilize all their learned skills and knowledge. It is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Urgent/Emergency Dentistry, serving an underserved and extremely diverse patient population. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester, NY.

Requirements

Associate's or bachelor's degree in dental assistant from an accredited college or university or two years minimum of experience in the field.
Licensed dental assistant in the state of New York
Strong communication skills
Ability to develop a trusting relationship with patients/inmates
Ability to monitor, observe and document patients
