About the Role

Join WhiteBIT as a Senior DevOps to shape the future of Web3. You will work on our blockchain platform, ensuring maximum transparency and security for millions of users worldwide. This role is crucial for driving innovation in the fintech and blockchain space.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), drive incident resolution, and take end-to-end ownership of system reliability in hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and tune latency-sensitive trading systems and exchange connections across multiple asset classes, prioritizing P99 latency.
  • Perform deep OS and hardware tuning on the Linux stack, including CPU pinning, NUMA topology, IRQ affinity, kernel parameter tuning, NIC offloading, and BIOS-level configurations.
  • Automate deployment and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm with performance reproducibility as a hard requirement.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) with automated performance regression checks.
  • Design and operate comprehensive monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, ELK), building latency-aware dashboards and alerts.
  • Design and implement architectures adhering to High Availability, scalability, and Disaster Recovery principles while continuously reducing latency.
  • Collaborate with quant, trading, and network engineering teams to optimize performance across the full stack.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps / SRE.
  • Advanced Linux administration and OS-level tuning (real-time kernels, process scheduling, memory management, cgroups, CPU isolation, I/O optimization).
  • Experience building complex systems on cloud platforms focused on high availability, low latency, and high-performance computing.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, Ethernet, VLANs, and PTP at the wire level.
  • Experience with low-latency network configurations and familiarity with kernel bypass technologies (DPDK, RDMA) is a strong plus.
  • Deep-dive knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including performance trade-offs and low-overhead deployment patterns.
  • Proven experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Helm in production environments.
  • Working knowledge of how CPUs, NIC queues, memory, and storage behave under pressure, with hands-on experience in hardware tuning.
  • Practical experience with the Prometheus / Grafana stack, including building latency-aware dashboards and meaningful alerts.
  • Proven track record writing production scripts in Bash and Python; Golang is a significant plus.
  • Strong grasp of core CI/CD tools and experience with secret management using Vault.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and hands-on experience configuring security policies in Kubernetes (Zero Trust, RBAC, secure code delivery).
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases under operational conditions.
  • High sense of ownership for production systems, willing to participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents outside business hours.
