About the Role

The Senior UX Product Designer – Design Systems role sits within our User Interface & User Experience org, working on the dedicated design system for Informatica products. This role shapes the visual foundation of cloud data management products, creates usage documentation, and leverages AI-powered prototyping to drive accessibility and coherence across every product surface.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the evolution of the dedicated design system for Informatica products by delivering high-quality visual assets: UI mockups, icons, illustrations, and component specifications.
  • Partner with UX product designers, visual design leads, and UI engineers to validate, scale, and ship design solutions that work across responsive and accessible surfaces.
  • Write and govern component usage documentation, ensuring design standards are clearly understood and consistently applied across teams.
  • Leverage AI-powered design tools, including Figma Make, generative AI, and emerging prototyping tools, to prototype, animate, and extend design system components.
  • Champion design standards across product teams through design reviews, constructive feedback, and implementation support with dev and QA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces for enterprise web products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual design craft, component-level thinking, and design system contribution.
  • System-level thinking and deep knowledge of responsive, accessible, and inclusive design, and ability to articulate those decisions clearly in component guidelines and specs.
  • Fluency in AI-assisted design workflows and understanding of how tools like Claude, Figma Make, and generative AI can accelerate design system work.
  • Understanding of component design, design tokens, and how design systems scale across teams.
  • Experience writing or governing component usage documentation at scale, and ability to translate design decisions into guidelines other teams can consistently apply.
