About the Role
Noah is building the infrastructure layer for global payments, aiming to make money move as easily as information. This role is critical for developing the core payments engine, which orchestrates money movement, settlement, ledgering, compliance, and blockchain interactions at a global scale. You will design and build infrastructure that processes real customer funds and supports millions in payment volume.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and ship highly reliable backend services in Go.
- Build distributed systems that prioritise correctness, performance and fault tolerance.
- Own services end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to monitoring and scaling.
- Improve the performance and resilience of our payment infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Compliance and Forward Deployed Engineers to launch customer-facing capabilities quickly.
- Help define engineering standards and influence how we build as the company scales.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and challenge assumptions.
Requirements
- Strong experience building backend systems in Go (or another systems language with willingness to work in Go).
- Experience within the Payments and/or Crypto industry.
- Experience designing distributed, event-driven or high-throughput systems.
- A deep understanding of APIs, databases, messaging systems and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building production systems where reliability and correctness matter.
- Strong product instincts and a bias towards shipping.
- Excellent communication and ownership.
