About the Role
This position involves providing victim advocacy for sexual violence, including emergency assistance, crisis intervention, and support services. It also includes providing Rape Crisis training to advocates.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency assistance for victims and survivors of sexual violence seeking support
- Provide emotional support, crisis intervention and safety planning
- Provide referrals and linkages to supportive services
- Facilitate 40 Hour Rape Crisis training monthly
- Complete contract and/or regulatory compliance activities
- Participate in rotating on-call system that requires some nights and weekends
- Promote a work culture of inclusion and belongings
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid & clean NYS driver’s license
- Reliable transportation

- $1200 Sign-on bonus may apply for eligible candidates
