About the Role

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead positioning and go-to-market strategy for ChatGPT experiences focused on wellbeing, including mental health and safety interventions. You will deeply understand user needs and product behavior, integrating research, feedback, and market insights into product and roadmap decisions. This role involves close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Research, Design, and Safety teams throughout the product lifecycle, from development to launch and ongoing use. Success will be measured by helping users discover, understand, and appropriately use wellbeing features, with clear expectations set for their benefits and limitations. Strong writing skills and careful communication regarding sensitive topics are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop audience insights and positioning using user research, competitive analysis, product capabilities, feedback, and safety signals.
  • Partner with Product and Research to identify unmet user needs and inform product strategy, roadmap priorities, and the user experience.
  • Lead product marketing for launches, including naming, positioning, messaging, user education, and coordinated rollout.
  • Write messaging frameworks, launch briefs, approved claims, and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with Communications and other content owners on various content types.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve questions and prepare accurate launch materials.
  • Ensure consistent wellbeing messaging across product experiences, web pages, support materials, and partner communications.
  • Plan rollout and education with Growth, Lifecycle, and Communications partners.
  • Define and measure launch success with Product, Research, and Data Science, using findings to inform product improvements and future launches.

Requirements

  • Led consumer product marketing where trust, safety, health, or privacy influenced positioning and launch decisions.
  • Ability to write clear, empathetic copy about complex product behavior.
  • Capacity to explain limitations and uncertainty accurately and without unnecessary alarm.
  • Experience coordinating launches requiring careful review across technical, policy, legal, and communications teams.
  • Proficiency in using qualitative research, competitive analysis, user feedback, and product data to inform product priorities, test positioning, and evaluate launch outcomes.
  • Comfort in personally writing briefs, positioning, FAQs, and launch materials.
  • Ability to adapt plans as product capabilities and priorities evolve while maintaining alignment with collaborators.
