About the Role
Reporting to the VP, VAS Strategy & Operations, this role accelerates the execution of strategic priorities across Altus Group’s Valuation Advisory Services (VAS) business. You will turn opportunities for commercial growth, operational improvement, and technology-enabled innovation into initiatives that deliver measurable results. Working across VAS, Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Enablement, and Operations, you will establish clear priorities, align teams, and lead initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption. This is a hands-on, player-coach role, directly leading a Senior Analyst and working with resources across the organization to strengthen accountability, improve visibility into performance, and build more effective, scalable ways of working. You will also personally own critical initiatives, develop plans, solve problems, and drive execution.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex business opportunities into clear objectives, actionable plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead initiatives from early discovery through execution, addressing obstacles, managing competing priorities, and ensuring work progresses to completion.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen commercial performance, simplify processes, and improve efficiency across VAS.
- Work with business leaders to develop practical solutions, establish clear ownership, and introduce repeatable ways of working that support sustainable growth.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and business teams to evaluate and advance technology, automation, and AI-enabled opportunities.
- Help translate business needs into practical requirements, coordinate implementation, and support adoption so new capabilities deliver value beyond launch.
- Own weekly and monthly reporting across commercial performance, pipeline, bookings, revenue, operational initiatives, and innovation adoption.
- Connect information across the business, identify trends and risks, and translate insights into clear recommendations and actions for leadership.
- Establish practical operating rhythms that strengthen accountability and support informed decisions.
- Bring together stakeholders across functions, clarify responsibilities, and navigate dependencies that could slow progress.
- Reconcile competing priorities, resolve roadblocks, and create the alignment required to move complex initiatives forward.
- Coach and support a Senior Analyst while coordinating expertise and resources across the organization.
- Balance strategic direction with hands-on problem-solving, helping build the capabilities, discipline, and ownership needed to deliver consistently.
Requirements
- Led complex, cross-functional initiatives in business operations, growth operations, transformation, product operations, consulting, or a related environment.
- Delivered meaningful improvements in commercial performance, operational efficiency, technology adoption, or business operations.
- Experience extends beyond developing strategies or managing programs to owning implementation and results.
- Experience in commercial real estate, valuation, professional services, software, data, or another technology-enabled services business is valuable.
- Taken ownership of business challenges where the solution, scope, and path forward were not clearly defined.
- Ability to assess what matters, challenge assumptions, make sound trade-offs, and translate competing priorities into a practical course of action.
- Create enough structure to accelerate progress without introducing unnecessary complexity.
- Managed interconnected initiatives with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and competing demands.
- Understand how to establish meaningful governance, identify risks early, and maintain momentum when priorities shift or decisions become difficult.
- Use performance measures and reporting to drive action and accountability.
- Partnered with Product, Engineering, or technology teams to translate operational needs into solutions that work in practice.
- Understand how requirements, prioritization, testing, release readiness, and change adoption connect to successful delivery.
- Assess the business value of new capabilities, including automation and AI, without needing to be the technical expert.
- Exposure to AI-enabled transformation, workflow automation, or technology adoption initiatives is an asset.
- Worked closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, navigating differing perspectives and making recommendations that move decisions forward.
- Connect commercial, operational, and technology considerations, explain trade-offs, and build commitment among people who do not report to you.
- Experience developing people and guiding teams while remaining personally accountable for complex work.
- Know when to delegate, when to coach, and when to step directly into a challenge.
- Comfortable moving between executive discussions and detailed execution.
- Measure leadership success by the outcomes your team delivers.
