About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to grow and develop their professional career in the consulting industry. This work-integrated learning opportunity offers hands-on experience in Electrical building design.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, residential, public and private facilities
- Prepare construction drawings as directed by Project Engineer, Job Captain and Design Technologist
- Assist with the development and preparation of design sketches using AutoCAD and Revit
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
- Perform general duties such as printing/plotting, submitting drawings to contractors, and completing mark-ups for 'as builts' and updating MCW records
- Participate in site visits
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Desire to work in a team-based environment
- Good communication skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
