About the Role
MCW Group is seeking a self-motivated electrical engineering student for their Toronto office. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to grow their professional career in the consulting industry, offering hands-on experience in Electrical building design.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, residential, public and private facilities.
- Prepare construction drawings as directed by Project Engineer, Job Captain and Design Technologist.
- Assist with the development and preparation of design sketches using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
- Perform general duties such as printing/plotting, submitting drawings to contractors, and completing mark-ups for 'as builts' and updating MCW records.
- Participate in site visits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or REVIT is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Desire to work in a team-based environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
