About the Role
This role involves delivering high-quality, solutions-focused legal services across commercial, technology, and property matters to support Transport for NSW in meeting its statutory, policy, and contractual obligations. You will provide practical legal advice, draft and negotiate complex contracts, support major projects, and contribute to dispute resolution.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team delivering high quality, solutions focused legal services across commercial, technology and property matters.
- Provide practical legal advice.
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial and property contracts.
- Support major projects.
- Contribute to dispute resolution where required.
- Build capability through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Lead and navigate practical legal solutions and improved decision making in a complex, fast paced public sector environment.
- Support major infrastructure initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong legal expertise, analytical capability and communication skills.
- Experience across general commercial law within government, private practice or in house environments.
- Ability to deliver high-quality advice.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, practical guidance.
- Recognised as a trusted, collaborative legal advisor.
- Skilled at drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
- Experience in working with integrity in a public sector context.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement.
- Experience in property law will be considered.
