About the Role
Exciting opportunity to work at Ocean Downs Casino, offering exciting gaming experiences, live harness racing, and exceptional hospitality. This part-time, year-round position involves ensuring a fun and entertaining environment for guests while handling machine operations and payouts.
Responsibilities
- Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment.
- Actively observes players and machine functionality.
- Performs jackpot payoffs, e-ticket paper fills, and minor machine repairs.
- Records and logs malfunctioning VLT machines.
- Carries adequate currency for change and exchanges.
- Ensures Federal cash reporting requirements are met.
- Accurately processes and documents jackpot payouts.
- Counts and verifies all exchanges with the cage department and customers.
- Complies with State Lottery Regulations and Company Internal Controls.
- Promotes company marketing and promotional events, answering guest questions.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Promotes honesty and trust among the team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior money handling and customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions.
- Ability to consistently comprehend, retain, and execute written, verbal, and demonstrated directions, explanations, and guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without difficulty, repeatedly.
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods without difficulty.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
