About the Role

Maven is seeking a Director, GTM Operations & Architecture to lead the strategy, systems, design, and reporting for the company's commercial operations. This role is central to Salesforce administration, focusing on business requirements and sales processes to ensure clean data and efficient workflows for the growth team. The position reports to the Head of Revenue Operations and collaborates with various departments to maintain scalable, well-documented systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce as the system of record for the GTM organization, ensuring its configuration, automation, and maintenance support the end-to-end sales process.
  • Manage the roadmap and overall CRM strategy for Salesforce and related systems.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of how Sales, Finance, and Analytics utilize GTM systems, including the decisions they inform, the reports and fields they rely on, and the challenges they encounter.
  • Translate strategic and operational workflows into clear business and functional requirements, working with Salesforce engineering to implement solutions.
  • Maintain a clean, well-documented sales funnel model, including pipeline stages, opportunity fields, and account hierarchies, and map data across systems.
  • Lead AI strategy within the Salesforce ecosystem to identify and build automation that reduces manual tasks.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for sales tooling issues, troubleshooting system problems promptly.
  • Conduct regular data hygiene audits (e.g., duplicate records, stale opportunities, missing fields) and drive resolutions with sales teams.
  • Oversee QA throughout the deal lifecycle, validating products, pricing, and contract terms in Salesforce before deal handoff.
  • Define, govern, and maintain business rules for Maven's customer account hierarchy to ensure accurate reporting and client operations.
  • Document and enforce sales process standards, including stage definitions, required fields, and deal desk workflows.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Engineering to identify bottlenecks and implement system-level solutions.
  • Drive business analysis and program management for Salesforce initiatives, including scoping requests, conducting discovery, and managing implementation roadmaps.
  • Support the Deal Desk with opportunity structuring, approval workflows, new pricing, and contract data accuracy in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, revenue operations, or GTM systems, with experience in a B2B SaaS or healthcare company.
  • Deep hands-on Salesforce expertise, including best-practice system architecture and the ability to design clear business and system requirements.
  • Experience designing account hierarchies and object models for complex B2B organizations, particularly those with multi-channel or multi-contract revenue structures.
  • Proven ability to build automation and AI-enabled tooling to replace manual GTM and revenue operations work.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with surrounding systems such as data warehouse, BI, billing, and GTM tooling (e.g., Looker, BigQuery, NetSuite, Gong, ZoomInfo, Clay).
  • Proficiency in Looker or equivalent BI tools, with a history of owning recurring reporting and QA.
  • Ability to take ambiguous requests, conduct discovery, and develop scoped, multi-phase plans.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of creating documentation understandable to both sales leaders and engineers.
  • Willingness to build and lead a team while remaining a hands-on operator.
  • Requires active work authorization in the US.
