About the Role
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work nights in our Hospital Emergency Department (ER). This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating patient care
- Performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills
- Supervising LPNs and related support nursing staff
- Identifying patient needs and caring for them
- Working as a team player
- Supervising other nursing personnel that report to you
- Keeping neat records and preparing reports in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for patients and staff in accordance with quality standards
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Having a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families
- Using superb organizational skills when it comes to supplies and equipment
- Remaining calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations
- Demonstrating proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems
Requirements
- New York RN License required
- Associate of Nursing required
- BLS certification preferred
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Emergency Department experience preferred
- Bachelor's of Nursing preferred
