About the Role
You will lead AI deployments for the end customers of our portfolio companies, working closely with GMs to turn trusted relationships into new AI business. You will own the entire engagement lifecycle, from initial conversation through delivery and expansion, including opportunity identification, stakeholder alignment, solution definition, scoping, pricing, and closing deals. You will also partner with AI Engineers to lead delivery, ensuring systems are user-friendly, deliver measurable value, and stay within budget and on schedule. Additionally, you will work with GMs, product, and engineering teams to transform successful deployments into product capabilities for broader market release.
Responsibilities
- Find and win opportunities by identifying valuable problems and building a pipeline of AI engagements.
- Understand customer workflows, data, and identify AI applications to improve cost, speed, quality, or revenue.
- Scope, price, and close deals by creating compelling business cases and commercial terms.
- Lead discovery sessions, demos, workshops, and executive conversations to build trust and align stakeholders.
- Own milestones, budgets, dependencies, and customer communication during delivery.
- Drive adoption and expansion by measuring results and ensuring users realize value post-launch.
- Identify opportunities to turn customer-specific solutions into repeatable products for broader market release.
Requirements
- Take ownership, move quickly, and create structure without waiting for instructions.
- Ability to work a room, earn trust with frontline users and executives, and ask for the sale.
- Clear thinking and cogent communication under pressure.
- Strong commercial judgment, with attention to scope, pricing, margins, and customer ROI.
- Ability to get hands-on with data and AI tools and work effectively with engineers.
- Product intuition to distinguish customer-specific needs from broader market problems.
- Desire to deliver real value to businesses and people.
- Experience as a founder, deployment strategist, FDE, consultant, or technical product leader.
- Experience owning complex customer engagements from initial conversation through delivery.
- Experience building, selling, or scaling a paid product or offering.
- Experience turning early customer work into a repeatable product or offering.
