About the Role
Rolling V Bus Corp. offers a Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) PATH Program designed for individuals to 'Earn and Learn' by working as a School Bus Aide while preparing to become a licensed school bus driver. This program provides a structured pathway to higher earning potential and flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Transport children safely following a fixed daily schedule.
- Engage cooperatively with parents/guardians, school officials, and coworkers.
- Complete regulatory reports.
Requirements
- Complete Job Application and New Hire Packet, including NYS and Federal documents.
- Submit satisfactory forms of identification.
- Provide three references and authorize the company to contact them.
- Provide a history of residential addresses.
- Allow the company to conduct a thorough background investigation.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
- Demonstrate physical ability to climb and descend bus steps, exit from a seated position quickly, use the rear emergency door for evacuation, and carry or drag a 125 lb. weight.
- Complete a paid six-hour pre-service training.
- Undergo additional skills preparation as required.

- Bus Aide/Prep: $17.00/hour
- Post-License Van Driver: $23.00/hour (guaranteed 4.5 hours daily)
- Post-License Bus Driver: $25.00/hour (guaranteed 4.5 hours daily)
