About the Role
Rolling V Bus Corp. offers a Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) Training Program that allows participants to "Earn and Learn" by working as a School Bus Aide while training to become a licensed school bus driver. This program provides a path to higher earning potential and flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Transport children safely following a fixed daily schedule.
- Engage cooperatively with parents/guardians, school officials, and coworkers.
- Complete regulatory reports.
- Ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from school.
Requirements
- Complete Job Application and New Hire Packet.
- Provide satisfactory forms of identification.
- Authorize the company to contact three provided references.
- Provide a history of residential addresses.
- Allow the company to conduct a thorough background investigation.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
- Demonstrate ability to climb and descend bus steps.
- Demonstrate ability to exit from a seated position quickly.
- Demonstrate ability to use the rear emergency door for evacuation.
- Demonstrate ability to carry or drag a 125 lb. weight to simulate evacuation.

Salary/Compensations
- $18.00/hour while training as a Bus Aide
- $20.00/hour for Van driver post-license (guaranteed 4.5 hours daily)
- $25.00/hour for Bus driver post-license (guaranteed 4.5 hours daily)
