About the Role
A loving UWS family seeks an experienced, full-time nanny for a long-term role caring for their infant daughter. This position offers the chance to become part of the family and support the child's growth through early childhood. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, proactive, and provides nurturing care, acting as a partner to the parents in raising their child.
Responsibilities
- Feeding and meal preparation as the child transitions to solids
- Managing nap and sleep routines
- Ensuring hygiene and bathing
- Providing age-appropriate play and enrichment activities
- Organizing outings to parks and classes
- Tracking developmental milestones
- Bottle preparation and sanitation
- Cleaning and tidying the nursery and laundry
- Food preparation
- Occasional dog-related tasks such as letting the dog out for bathroom breaks
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nanny, with 5-10+ years preferred in private homes
- A well-suited demeanor for working with newborns and partnering with first-time parents
- Exceptional childcare references attesting to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity, and high emotional intelligence
- Strong background in bottle support/techniques and newborn/infant sleep education
- Ability to complete all child-related duties
- Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times
- Fluency in both oral and written English
- Flexibility to provide live-in support across multiple locations
- Flexibility for occasional later evenings and bedtime with advance notice
- Occasional weekend support with advance notice
