About the Role
As part of the Benchmark memory care team, your role will be to organize and implement programs designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. Our programming is intended to fulfill basic psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs while promoting self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment. The Programming Coordinator supports and assists in all necessary programming.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, oversee, implement, and evaluate community programming to enhance resident experience.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with current residents, families, and community organizations.
- Oversee scheduling of events, trips, meetings, rooms, and group functions.
- Develop, promote, coordinate, and oversee community events.
- Edit, produce, and distribute a monthly community newsletter.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in knowledge of aging and dementia.
- Must be qualified by experience and training to develop a robust calendar of programs for elders and persons with dementia.
- Possess current CPR if required.
- Flexible schedule, willing to work on weekends and holidays.
