About the Role
Join Donalda Club as a Banquet Server and play an integral role in creating memorable dining experiences for members and their guests in a beautiful, private club setting. Enjoy a supportive and professional work environment with opportunities to expand your hospitality skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service by greeting and serving members courteously, professionally, and timely.
- Set up and maintain dining and banquet areas, ensuring tables are clean, polished, and ready for service.
- Perform Banquet Server duties including serving Hors d'oeuvre, serving beverages and food, and clearing tables.
- Work collaboratively with other Banquet Servers, Banquet Manager/Captain, Kitchen and Bar team to deliver a seamless dining experience throughout the function.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling and alcohol service (Smart Serve required).
- Handle member inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a restaurant/banquet or hospitality environment.
- Smart Serve Certified: Required before employment.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Candidates 18 years or older may be required to complete a criminal background check.
Skills
- Passion for food, beverage, and delivering first-class service.
- Understanding of wine service is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with JONAS POS system is an asset.
