About the Role
Lumexa Imaging is seeking a Patient Service Representative Supervisor for its Northwest facility in Austin, TX. This role focuses on creating a positive patient experience while managing administrative and supervisory duties.
Responsibilities
- Interviews patients and/or families to obtain demographic and financial information.
- Schedules and confirms patient appointments.
- Verifies patient insurance.
- Explains financial responsibility to patients or their representatives.
- Collects same-day payments.
- Manages the training and onboarding of new team members.
- Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process.
- Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones.
- Monitors and approves timecards.
- Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and ongoing development, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and/or terminations.
- Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities.
- Develops and monitors team performance through a QA process.
- Establishes employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and department coverage.
- Completes other assigned tasks and projects.
Requirements
- 2-3 years office experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent customer service skills.
