About the Role
Berry Street is leveraging AI, GLP-1s, and the consumerization of healthcare, using insurance to make metabolic care accessible. Our platform connects patients with clinicians and AI tools to treat various conditions, partnering with major health plans and care management companies. We launched in 2023, have served hundreds of thousands of patients, and are Series B funded.
Responsibilities
- Own design end-to-end for the GLP-1 experience, from discovery and research through prototyping, visual design, and launch.
- Untangle complex, high-stakes flows (eligibility, insurance coverage and prior authorizations, prescribing, refills, and side-effect support) and make them feel clear and reassuring.
- Design for engagement and retention, helping patients build habits and stay on track over months.
- Shape how AI shows up in the product, including guidance, matching, decision support, and personalized moments.
- Prototype quickly, often with AI tools, and use working artifacts to align teams and ship fast.
- Design clinician- and ops-facing tools that help our providers deliver great care efficiently.
- Use data, research, and direct conversations with patients and providers to inform decisions and keep improving what's live.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, and help shape a culture of craft and care as the team grows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience.
- Shipped digital products end-to-end, ideally consumer mobile and web.
- Portfolio that shows both your process and your finished craft.
- Strong craft, high bar, with excellent interaction and visual design skills and a "no detail is too small" mentality.
- Comfortable with complexity, energized by messy, regulated, multi-stakeholder problems.
- AI-forward; use AI tools in your own workflow and have a point of view on designing AI-powered experiences.
- A generalist who loves ownership; can move between patient, provider, and internal tools, take projects from vague idea to shipped, and operate with high autonomy in a low-process environment.
- Collaborative and direct; low ego, high conviction.
- Seek out feedback, push the thinking, and help the team decide and move.
