About the Role
The Setup Technician is a hands-on technical expert responsible for the setup, changeover, troubleshooting, and performance of blow molding equipment. This role offers an opportunity to become a go-to technical resource while building skills and a manufacturing career.
Responsibilities
- Perform changeovers and start-ups on blow molding machines and support equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to keep production running effectively
- Identify ways to improve setups, changeovers, equipment performance, and efficiency
- Develop into a subject matter expert on blow molding equipment and processes
- Perform preventive maintenance and partner with Maintenance on equipment repairs
- Identify equipment issues and help determine practical solutions
- Work independently while collaborating with Maintenance, Production, and other teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow GMP, food safety, quality, and company safety requirements
- Support other teams and continuous improvement efforts as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Maintain flexibility in working hours to ensure that production is successful
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English instructions and documentation
- Ability to follow guidelines and work independently (as well as in a team) with little supervision
- Familiarity with basic business computer applications and mobile device applications
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms for regular tasks
- Must be able to climb steps
- Must have good hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to bend/squat
- Must be able to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Must be able to operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 60 to 110 F
- Must be capable of visually detecting defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects

Experience Level

- 2+ years of maintenance, machine setup, or related technical experience
- A minimum of 2 years of maintenance or machine set-up experience (plastics or injection molding preferred)
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced technical certificate or formal education preferred
Salary/Compensations
- $22.00 - $36.00 Hourly
