About the Role
Lead the end-to-end migration of legacy Java applications to Spring and Spring Boot with minimal disruption to business operations. Analyze complex Java and Tomcat codebases and refactor them to modern Spring architecture patterns. Design and execute phased migration strategies, including dependency, configuration, testing, deployment, and rollback plans. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver smooth deployments and zero-downtime transitions. Establish best practices for Spring development, configuration management, security, observability, and performance tuning. Mentor engineers as they adopt Spring frameworks, migration patterns, and supporting tools.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java and enterprise application platforms, including Tomcat, and have deep understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience building or migrating applications with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Maven and enterprise build and dependency management.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with relational databases, including Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- At least 2+ years of experience analyzing large, complex codebases and defining efficient migration paths.
- At least 2+ years of experience collaborating with product, business, and engineering stakeholders on software delivery.
