About the Role

Parkhurst Dining is seeking a student committed to improving food systems on campus. This role will assist in advancing campus-wide sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities

Assist on advancing campus wide sustainability initiatives.
Design campus campaigns in collaboration with the social media intern.
Increase transparency of food systems on campus.
Design and implement structures to build relationships between students and food service staff.
Work closely with the Parkhurst management team by calling out standard operating procedures that could be adjusted to be more environmentally friendly.
Actively promote food waste reduction and compostable collection for all dining facilities.
Work on converting all on-the-go packaging to compostable alternatives.
Assist with organizing and communicating local and sustainable luncheons or dinners as part of the sustainable development goals integration.

Requirements

Strong understanding and desire to communicate via social media.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize work.
Problem-solving aptitude.
Strong computer skills, MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Access.
