About the Role
iCapital is seeking an AVP to join its Research and Education team. This role involves conducting due diligence on Private Capital funds, authoring reports for clients, and possessing strong knowledge of private equity, private credit, and/or real estate and real assets industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct investment and operational due diligence on private capital managers.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive due diligence reports on managers, including qualitative and quantitative factors.
- Stay informed of investment opportunities and communicate information to the investment team.
- Source new managers, perform initial screening, and identify managers for further consideration.
- Assist with maintaining a pipeline of investment ideas and create market maps for major strategies.
- Prepare marketing and education materials on various products and strategies for clients.
- Create and maintain pitchbooks, private market research pieces, and other team collateral.
- Present investment merits of current products and private capital investing trends to clients.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in financial services.
- 2+ years of experience conducting due diligence on private capital managers, preferably for a top-tier investment consultant, large institutional LP, or fund of funds.
- Previous experience with fund manager evaluation as primary responsibility.
- Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting in front of senior professionals.
