About the Role
Okta is seeking a Senior Manager, Product to own the growth of free trials for Okta and Auth0. This individual contributor role will lead the self-serve sign-up experience and influence other parts of the customer journey to drive trial sign-ups, sales inquiries, and faster time to value. The position focuses on building the program from the ground up, defining its processes, priorities, and KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Set a 1-2 year vision for free trial growth across Okta and Auth0.
- Identify new ways to meet trial goals, such as interactive experiences.
- Develop OKRs and align a roadmap for team execution.
- Improve the trial sign-up funnel, drive trial awareness, and build activation levers.
- Design and analyze experiments from diagnosis to launch.
- Lead research on how prospects evaluate trials and identify drop-off points.
- Map the full customer journey, including handoffs owned by other teams.
- Influence Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, Enablement, Marketing, Support, and partners.
- Make resourcing and tradeoff decisions without budget authority.
- Define processes, priorities, and KPIs for the program.
- Utilize AI in research, analysis, experimentation, and content.
- Explore AI-driven trial improvements with the Product team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management, growth program ownership, self-serve, or product-led funnels.
- Experience owning sign-up and activation in a product-led growth (PLG) or self-service environment.
- Strong PM mindset and a record of owning outcomes without direct authority.
- Ability to conduct customer research, map journeys, and translate findings into product decisions.
- Experience designing and analyzing experiments.
- Comfort with product analytics.
- Proven ability to align teams that are not directly managed.
- Experience turning business goals into clear OKRs, roadmaps, and tradeoffs.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions with incomplete information, and move quickly.
- Experience with technical products such as identity, security, or developer tools.
- Fluency in using AI tools in work and curiosity about applying them to product.
