About the Role
The Business System Analyst participates in systems process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analyses to align IT solutions with business initiatives on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Participate in identifying best solutions and uses of technology to drive business growth, profitability, and efficiencies.
- Work with expert users and business representatives to determine business requirements.
- Identify options for potential solutions and their impact to systems, assessing both technical and business suitability.
- Manage daily operations and functionality of the application within the production support area.
- Resolve production problems and errors.
- Test system enhancements and products for discrepancies.
- Document relevant data accurately and timely.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend operational procedures and best practices to optimize processes and workflow efficiencies.
- Mentor less experienced business systems analysts.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of company operations/procedures and insurance industry trends/developments.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Business Systems experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years in an Integrations service or related role.
- Knowledge of insurance, business, and technical areas.
- Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
