About the Role

As the Group Product Manager for Search, you will own the front door of the Priceline experience across hotels, flights, rental cars, and packages. You will lead PMs and partner with engineering leaders across three platform teams, setting roadmap strategy, defining search quality metrics, and deciding on ranking and AI investments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of PMs, representing Search in portfolio forums, PI Planning, and leadership reviews.
  • Set strategy and OKRs across teams with clear hypotheses, experiment-backed evidence, and commercially grounded prioritization.
  • Improve typeahead, query understanding, and destination resolution across various travel categories.
  • Define model objectives, offline evaluation metrics, and online experiments for ranking system replacement.
  • Drive the rollout of a unified search form across web surfaces.
  • Own the search quality framework, including SLOs, SLIs, and business KPIs.
  • Govern API contracts with other product verticals to ensure backward compatibility and measure downstream impact.
  • Assess and recommend a long-term search intelligence roadmap, including semantic search and AI-driven experiences.
  • Run a high-cadence A/B testing program with appropriate metrics, guardrails, and significance thresholds.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years managing other PMs.
  • 3+ years directly owning a search, typeahead, or information retrieval product at scale (10M+ monthly sessions).
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts like Solr vs. vector search, BM25 vs. learning-to-rank, NDCG@k, and entity resolution tradeoffs.
  • Experience shipping a model-driven ranking system to production, including data, evaluation, experimentation, and interpretation.
  • Experience building metrics, guardrails, and significance thresholds for a trustworthy, high-cadence A/B testing program.
  • Strong customer focus with an understanding of typeahead experience and funnel abandonment diagnosis.
  • Comfort with analytics tools like Splunk, Google Analytics, or Looker, and ability to design measurement frameworks.
  • Experience using AI in workflows and identifying opportunities for AI to improve team delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders and translate technical constraints into business tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated history of living company values: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability, and Trust.
  • Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
