About the Role
Apex Entertainment is seeking a skilled Bowling Technician to maintain and service our bowling lanes and equipment. This hands-on role ensures guests enjoy safe, seamless, and fun bowling experiences in a high-energy, guest-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair Brunswick GSX pinsetters, Custodian lane machines, scoring systems, ball returns, bowling balls, and related components
- Perform routine service and preventative maintenance on all bowling equipment
- Clean, adjust, and troubleshoot automated scoring systems
- Identify and order necessary replacement parts and supplies
- Perform major overhauls and rebuilds as needed to keep equipment in top condition
- Assist in planning and managing service and maintenance budgets
- Contribute to long-term repair and improvement plans for bowling equipment
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance
- Train and supervise hourly pin chaser staff on basic equipment care and safety
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience maintaining and repairing bowling and pinsetter equipment (Brunswick preferred)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift
- Comfortable with tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting
- Will work primarily indoors with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures or loud noise
- May face risks associated with mechanical or electrical equipment
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, lubrication and testing equipment
- Must be safety-conscious and able to work independently
