About the Role

Flexibility is key as you may support different store areas.

Responsibilities

Ensure the salesfloor stays 'runway ready' through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers at the cashier with various transactions across different platforms.
Operate a point-of-sale system, bag items, and handle bulky/heavy items.
Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting, assisting customers, and returning clothing.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver new merchandise.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
Provide general support to the store, including setting up special events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating fixtures.

Requirements

Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business need.
Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Stock and Fulfillment Only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
