About the Role
The Audio Visual Technical Assistant provides higher-level technical support for audio/visual equipment in classrooms, lecture halls, and meeting rooms. Responsibilities include collaborating with full-time AV staff to create documentation, and installing and maintaining wireless systems and digital signage.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Full-Time AV Technician and the AV Design Engineer with high-level troubleshooting and iterative development
- Install and maintain digital signage and conference equipment
- Collaborate with teammates to finish tasks and close tickets.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled student at Ithaca College.
- Be a current Audio Visual Technician within IT
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Able to stand or sit for extended periods and lift 20 lbs comfortably.
Skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- High-level understanding of audio, visual, and communication signal flow
- Moderate understanding of conditional logic and other computer science fundamentals
- Deep understanding of Extron and Crestron systems
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and quickly switch tasks
