About the Role

Norm is seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to craft distinctive, high-impact content that enhances our brand, promotes our perspective, and communicates the value of Norm’s offerings. This role involves collaborating directly with executives and subject-matter experts to transform their knowledge into compelling thought leadership and marketing materials. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, editor, and strategic thinker capable of simplifying complex subjects into clear, persuasive narratives for discerning audiences. You will manage content from conception to distribution, producing work that captures attention, solidifies Norm’s market standing, and supports key business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop our point of view by working with executives and subject-matter experts to generate strong ideas and unique perspectives on AI, law, regulation, and the future of work.
  • Create high-impact content, including thought leadership, reports, articles, executive bylines, case studies, presentations, campaign assets, website copy, and sales materials for priority audiences.
  • Lead the editorial strategy by identifying topics, narratives, and formats to strengthen Norm’s market position and establishing a clear editorial roadmap.
  • Own the editorial process from concept through publication, managing research, interviews, outlining, drafting, editing, stakeholder reviews, production, and distribution.
  • Shape the narrative by partnering with Brand, Communications, Product Marketing, GTM, and Norm Law to align content with Norm’s positioning, voice, and strategic priorities.
  • Build signature content programs, developing repeatable editorial franchises and series to establish authority, support campaigns, and foster sustained client engagement.
  • Extend the impact of major content pieces by adapting them into channel-specific assets for social media, email, events, campaigns, executive communications, and sales enablement.
  • Drive project management by overseeing editorial calendars, contributors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Own the metrics by measuring content performance, collecting qualitative feedback, and utilizing audience insights to continuously refine topics, formats, distribution, and impact.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing clear, compelling work for sophisticated or executive audiences.
  • Proven track record of developing high-impact thought leadership and marketing materials across various formats and channels.
  • Experience collaborating directly with executives and subject-matter experts to develop original points of view and translate expertise into accessible content.
  • Strong editorial judgment with the ability to identify resonant ideas, arguments, and stories.
  • Experience independently shaping content strategy and managing complex projects from ambiguity to publication.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple content initiatives, contributors, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfort engaging deeply with complex, technical, or highly regulated subject matter.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Familiarity with AI, legal technology, regulation and policy, or another complex enterprise category is a plus.
  • Experience writing for legal, compliance, risk, technology, or C-suite audiences is a plus.
  • Experience creating research-driven reports, executive thought leadership, or original editorial franchises is a plus.
  • Familiarity with content distribution, search, AEO, social media, email marketing, and audience development is a plus.
  • Experience directing designers, video producers, agencies, freelancers, or other creative contributors is a plus.
