About the Role
BAART Programs is seeking a Security Guard to ensure the safety and order of the clinic facility, with potential backup duties for the receptionist.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the protection of all employees and patients
- Verifying patient identification upon entry
- Managing orderly patient lines and timely departures
- Preventing loitering and congregating in parking lots and premises
- Reporting critical incidents
- Cooperating with local authorities during emergencies
- Responding to calls to prevent operational interference
- Documenting incidents for management
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Conducting regular security checks of the facility
- Attending staff meetings and training
- Maintaining professional attire and identification
- Interacting courteously with all staff and patients
- Providing receptionist coverage as needed
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of prior experience in an office/clinic setting
- Active guard card from the state of California
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients
- Demonstrated non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward chemically dependent persons
