About the Role
PwC’s national Innovation and Capital Incentives (ICI) team helps clients obtain incentives and allowances for their investment in innovation and capital assets. We are a national, diverse, and growth-focused team seeking a Senior Associate with Capital Allowances experience or interest. This client-facing role offers the opportunity to work with businesses across all industries within a dynamic and innovative team.
Responsibilities
- Work with client finance, property, and tax teams to identify and secure tax relief.
- Identify and develop new business development opportunities.
- Provide Capital Allowances technical advice and claim preparation support across various sectors.
- Support Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners in managing Capital Allowance clients and project delivery.
- Project manage the preparation of Capital Allowance claims for submission to HMRC.
- Support property and corporate transactions, technology transformation projects, and data analytics.
- Collaborate with other tax areas, particularly corporate tax and R&D.
Requirements
- Experience in a tax environment or property-related services (e.g., quantity surveyor).
- Working knowledge of tax incentives.
- Experience in preparing Capital Allowances claims.
- Keen interest in developing Capital Allowances expertise.
- Excellent communication skills for client and internal stakeholder interaction.
- Coaching and delegation abilities to develop junior team members.
- Good written skills, including report writing, technical memo drafting, and concise client advice notes.
- Analytical skills for numerical analysis of client data.
