About the Role
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to oversee the procurement of glass, coatings, hardware, and materials for custom production. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or construction materials purchasing and excel in vendor management and cost tracking.
Responsibilities
- Create, code, and manage all purchase orders in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy, proper tax treatment, and internal coordination.
- Purchase, track, and verify materials while partnering with engineering and production teams to confirm specifications and order details.
- Manage vendor relationships by researching new suppliers, negotiating bulk or early payment discounts, ensuring timely payments, and resolving shipment discrepancies with thorough documentation.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience (manufacturing or construction preferred).
- Strong QuickBooks proficiency and cost tracking skills.
- Knowledge of taxable vs. non taxable purchasing.
- ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
