About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter. Conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and assist with access control and badge-related responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including building interiors, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and support site access procedures in accordance with location policies.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
