About the Role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position offers a flexible and dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with an industry leader. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unwanted activity.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Observe and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
