About the Role

Solutions & Integration supports the dynamic business of managing market risks embedded in assets and liabilities. The team develops and supports solutions for ALM, Global Hedging, valuation, reporting, and data analysis, while exploring responsible ways to use AI to improve delivery, troubleshooting, and productivity. The ideal candidate combines strong financial services knowledge with business analysis, software development, data, and AI capabilities. The role requires sound judgment, a structured approach to problem solving, and the ability to work across business and technology teams to deliver practical, supportable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assess asset and liability data feeds, interpret their content and business meaning, and identify patterns that support downstream use.
  • Create and maintain mappings from position data to appropriate valuation models based on security attributes and approved model-use guidance.
  • Decompose complex business requirements into clear components that can be implemented by AI agents or IT partners.
  • Document workflows, data flows, calculations, controls, interfaces, user stories, and integration requirements.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to clarify business needs, investigate issues, and support solution design.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across segments to clarify scope, priorities, requirements, and expected outcomes for analytics and solution initiatives.
  • Define metrics for reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis, and develop supporting data-flow diagrams.
  • Identify and assess practical AI opportunities across ALM application development, production support, analysis, testing, documentation, data investigation, issue resolution, and user productivity.
  • Prototype and implement AI agents that retrieve and analyze business data, enabling users to obtain results through natural-language interactions.
  • Design, build, test, and enhance AI-enabled applications, tools, agents, and POCs.
  • Apply business and technical judgment to determine when AI is appropriate and how its outputs should be validated and used.
  • Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, consistency, latency, cost, and reliability, with appropriate validation, human review, fallback, and escalation controls.
  • Frame business problems clearly, use AI tools and agents to accelerate delivery, and validate outcomes with business partners.
  • Apply responsible AI practices covering privacy, security, access permissions, traceability, monitoring, and human accountability.
  • Apply domain knowledge and software engineering practices to develop POCs, document application interfaces, collaborate with IT partners on implementation, and support regression and user acceptance testing.
  • Analyze, clean, transform, reconcile, and validate structured and unstructured asset and liability data.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot applications, including investigating, reconciling, and validating data issues.
  • Contribute throughout the solution lifecycle, from requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, implementation, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in defining data models, reporting metrics, validation rules, and control requirements based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a related analytical or technical discipline. Combined finance and technology education or experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability, with the ability to apply subject-matter knowledge, follow established standards, and improve the quality of team deliverables.
  • Practical financial services experience in asset-liability management, hedging, valuation, or risk management, with a solid understanding of financial instruments and insurance products.
  • Hands-on experience with AI APIs or platforms to solve problems, improve productivity, develop prototypes, support reliable solutions, and communicate outputs clearly.
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and solution design within complex business and technology environments.
  • Ability to translate financial, operational, and data requirements into structured functional and technical specifications, including for AI-enabled and numerical solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, such as Python, C++, Java, Numba/CUDA.
  • Experience applying solution design techniques such as data-flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, APIs, interface contracts, and component-level decomposition.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes for systems and analytical use cases.
  • Ability to visualize, interpret, and present machine-learning model results.
