About the Role
As an intern in the Streaming team, you will support BMG's global streaming strategy with a special focus on the exciting markets of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Your mission is to optimally place our diverse releases from artists such as Trettmann, VICKY, OneRepublic, Kylie Minogue, Antje Schomaker, Tash Sultana, Marteria, Die Prinzen, Lenny Kravitz, and many others on digital streaming platforms (DSPs) and maximize their reach. You will support our Streaming Team starting January 1st for 6 months in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Strategic preparation: Compile detailed release plans and concise pitch forms for all relevant digital partners like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, Deezer, and Tidal.
- Channel optimization: Actively support the optimization of our local artists' channels on various streaming platforms, including YouTube.
- Information management: Collect and distribute important information and assets for new releases.
- Performance analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze the streaming performance of our local and international artists in the DACH region.
- Visual content: Contribute to and prepare visual content for our artists' YouTube channels as needed.
- Reporting & success tracking: Plan and monitor pitches, and meticulously track and report results.
- Presentation creation: Support and create meaningful highlight, quarterly, and results presentations for artist management and internal departments.
- Data interpretation: Analyze and evaluate streaming numbers across all international platforms.
- Internal communication: Create the weekly streaming newsletter to inform our internal and external partners.
Requirements
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are essential for our international environment.
- Prior knowledge and confident use of Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interest in international music industry trends and genres, as well as current digital music releases.
- The ability to interpret streaming data and derive recommendations for action.
- A proactive and independent work style, along with the passion to learn new things and contribute.
- You are an absolute team player and value collaboration in a dynamic environment.
