About the Role
As a Video Editor / Cutter (m/w/d), you will support our team in the professional post-production of diverse video and social media formats. You have experience in video editing and can implement projects independently and creatively. You will work on varied productions for well-known creators, companies, and brands, focusing on high-quality, entertaining, and target-group-oriented content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Success relies not only on technically clean editing but also on good storytelling, timing, and a feel for successful social media content.
Responsibilities
- Independent video editing and post-production of YouTube videos, Reels, Shorts, and other social media formats
- Creative and dramaturgical processing of raw material into entertaining and attention-grabbing videos
- Development and implementation of hooks, storytelling, and target-group-oriented editing design
- Use of music, sound effects, graphics, subtitles, and animations
- Color correction, color grading, and audio editing
- Close collaboration with editorial, production, and project management
- Independent implementation of feedback and correction loops
- Structured organization and filing of project files, raw material, and final videos
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with YouTube videos and social media content, especially Reels, Shorts, and TikToks
- Very good knowledge of common editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
- Confident feel for storytelling, timing, dramaturgy, and modern editing techniques
- Experience in editing interviews, presentations, and entertainment-oriented video formats
- Independent, structured, and reliable way of working
- High quality standards and a good eye for detail
- Creativity and the ability to contribute own ideas to the editing process
- Good communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork
- Knowledge of After Effects, motion design, and animations are an advantage
- Portfolio or work samples showing video editing experience, especially published YouTube videos and social media formats, must be submitted with the application
