About the Role
ECD NY is seeking a full-time Heavy Haul Driver to support high-profile construction projects in the Tri-State region. This role involves safely transporting heavy construction equipment using specialized trailers and navigating complex urban environments.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport heavy construction equipment, including excavators, drill rigs, and other machinery.
- Operate lowboy and RGN trailers for equipment transportation.
- Load, unload, inspect, and properly secure equipment for transport.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups between jobsites and company facilities.
- Navigate NYC streets, boroughs, and surrounding areas, including congested urban jobsite locations.
- Obtain and comply with oversize load permits and applicable transportation regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain equipment in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with field personnel.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Previous lowboy and/or RGN trailer experience.
- Demonstrated experience loading, securing, and transporting heavy construction equipment.
- Experience with oversize loads, permits, and related transportation requirements.
- Comfortable navigating and delivering throughout NYC and the five boroughs.
- Clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
- TWIC card preferred, but not required.
