About the Role
As Enterprise Migrations Practice Area Lead, you will own how Infinite Lambda solves the problem of moving large organizations off legacy data platforms onto modern, AI-ready platforms. This role sets the global standard for delivering enterprise migrations across the full lifecycle: Assess, Convert, and Validate. You will ensure delivery excellence, drive commercial impact by turning delivery quality into a competitive edge, and work closely with Sales and Solution Engineering to shape the offer that makes Infinite Lambda the obvious choice for enterprise migration.
Responsibilities
- Own the migration standard for Assess, Convert and Validate, including reference architectures, sequencing, reconciliation, and stage-gate checklists.
- Ensure Fast and Deep Discovery produce a defensible estimate, a dependency map, and early red flags before committing to a fixed price.
- Maintain consistent quality across all regions for conversion, reconciliation, and post-go-live incidents.
- Keep the practice updated with changes in Flowline, source parsers, and target platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Iceberg).
- Join engagements at scoping to define what each strategic migration should leave behind and who will capture it.
- Capture lessons at wave checkpoints and conduct post-engagement reviews to identify improvements.
- Decide which lessons become reusable assets and which remain one-offs.
- Communicate field requirements and recurring challenges to the Flowline product team and move proven assets into Product & Services.
- Build a global bench of migration specialists and develop engineers across regions to deliver migration waves independently and at scale.
- Own the progression path for engineers from foundational skills to leading client assessments.
- Make accelerators and existing assets visible and reusable across teams.
- Ensure live engagements utilize the practice’s accelerators.
- Collaborate with Sales and Sales Engineers to scope, estimate, and price based on measured delivery speed.
- Make the commercial case for the practice in proposals, extensions, and new scope.
- Act as the technical lead in joint pursuits with partners like Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and Fivetran.
- Feed learnings from delivery into joint go-to-market strategies, certifications, and co-marketing.
- Write interview material and conduct technical interviews for migration roles.
- Present the practice’s work internally and at external events and in case studies.
Requirements
- Ownership at a strategic level, taking full accountability for outcomes.
- Experience owning a practice, service line, or major program end-to-end.
- Track record of leading large, complex migrations off legacy platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Oracle, SSIS, DataStage).
- Hands-on knowledge of legacy source systems and modern platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Iceberg, dbt, Fivetran).
- Structured approach to assessment, conversion, and validation.
- Experience defining reference architectures, sequencing frameworks, and quality gates.
- Experience building libraries of reusable assets and accelerators.
- Experience developing engineering teams across regions through mentoring, skill pathways, and accreditation.
- Ability to lead discovery sessions with senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to act as the technical lead in joint pursuits with partners.
- Ability to assess engineering talent in interviews.
- Understanding of how delivery choices affect scoping, pricing, and margin.
- Enjoyment of working with Sales to win the right work.
