About the Role

Responsibilities
- Oversee and evaluate ELD performance, collaborating with the ELD Coordinator to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and maintain updated driver logs.
- Address and resolve driver issues and needs.
- Review backhaul assignments and adjust routing or delivery plans as needed.
- Coordinate employee time off requests with management.
- Ensure accurate daily completion of driver documentation.
- Collaborate with Logistics to establish and optimize efficient routing.
- Review the communication log and address open issues daily.
- Analyze driver performance and provide recommendations.
- Assist the Transportation Manager with supervisory duties, including directing Dispatchers and resolving personnel issues.
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, scheduling software, and routing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements.
- Ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Experience in the food industry is preferred.
