About the Role
As a Member of Technical Staff focused on Machine Learning, you will ship models, training infrastructure, harnesses and evals end-to-end. You will design, build, and launch the technology that makes Ash a differentiated AI model for mental health, aiming to improve billions of lives. We seek builders who are passionate about delivering value and making a tangible difference.
Responsibilities
- Ship models, training infrastructure, harnesses, and evals end-to-end.
- Design, build, and launch technology for Ash, an AI specialized for mental health.
- Act as an owner and passionately deliver value to users.
- Build feedback loops over features.
- Learn from production performance, the psych research team, and scalable data sources.
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering experience, owning systems other people rely on.
- Experience working with LLMs, ideally with fine-tuning, harness engineering, and evals.
- Proficient in using agents to do your homework.
- Driven by creating a world-class product with a world-class team.
- Desire to own what you build.
- Willingness to tear down experiments and features as the team learns.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup, or the drive to thrive in one.
- Collaborative and direct communication style.
- Enjoy working in person with a small team.
- Learning mindset and willingness to use various tools.
