About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic at Wegmans, you will ensure the professional and safe maintenance of our Corporate, Distribution, and Manufacturing facilities. You'll join a team focused on solving complex problems, continuous learning, and working with high-tech equipment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Repair and troubleshoot production equipment in facilities for emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Work effectively with a team, assisting other personnel to ensure tasks are completed safely and timely.
- Maintain open communication with team members and supervisors.
- Complete all tasks while strictly adhering to food and human safety guidelines.
- Maintain Wegmans’ high standards of quality at all times.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 3 or more years of experience as an equipment Mechanic in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems and techniques.
- Proficiency with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of material handling systems and process equipment, including conveyors and/or automated systems.
- Knowledge of three-phase motors and wiring.
- Experience programming and installing electronics and controls.
