About the Role
This role sits at the center of Cambridge Audio's commercial planning cycle, managing the process from sales forecast to purchase plan, shipping plan, and cash generation. You will challenge assumptions, explain variances, and provide essential data for decision-making to Sales, Operations, and the Board. This is an opportunity to shape the planning model, transition reporting to Power BI dashboards, and leverage automation and AI to streamline processes.

- Own the sales demand plan across all markets, collaborating with sales teams and challenging forecasts.
- Manage the bi-weekly Excel-based purchase and inventory planning model, producing the purchase plan in coordination with the Hong Kong office.
- Monitor stock levels, sell-through, and shipments, identifying and flagging shortages, overstock, and end-of-line risks.
- Plan stock and delivery timelines for new product launches with Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
- Contribute commercial inputs to the weekly cashflow forecast, annual budget, and September recast.
- Oversee commercial reporting in Power BI, presenting monthly sales, margin, and forecast accuracy to the Board and explaining performance drivers.
- Utilize automation and AI to reduce manual work in forecasting and reporting, ensuring accuracy of all outputs.
- Serve as the finance partner to Sales, Operations, Product, and Marketing teams.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA finalist or newly qualified accountant.
- Experience in commercial finance or FP&A.
- Proven experience building sales forecasts, demand plans, or purchase plans in a stock-holding business.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including the ability to review and improve existing models.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including report and data model creation.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system.
- Practical experience using automation or AI tools for planning and reporting, with strong output validation skills.
