About the Role
Chefs for Chefs is seeking a skilled, reliable Head Chef for a temporary assignment at a casual dining venue in Lewisham, starting early December throughout the Christmas period. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations and supporting the team to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee kitchen operations and support the team through day-to-day service.
- Lead and support the kitchen team during preparation and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the venue’s standards.
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen organization.
- Maintain food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety standards.
- Ensure smooth, efficient service in a casual dining environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience leading a professional kitchen as a Head Chef or in a similar senior role.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness certificates (minimum).
- Strong kitchen leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- A reliable, adaptable, and professional approach.
- A DBS check is desirable but not essential.
