About the Role
Bridgette Bar is a chef-driven bar where design, craft, and culture intersect, serving exceptional food and creative drinks in a vibrant atmosphere. We are looking for Cooks to produce the highest quality dishes, work efficiently, and master cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Accurately execute food orders in collaboration with kitchen staff and senior chefs.
- Ensure consistent, high-caliber food preparation and presentation meeting restaurant standards.
- Maintain the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products to minimize waste and maximize quality.
- Respond positively and effectively to guest requests and complaints.
- Follow reporting procedures for accidents and incidents.
- Adhere to all assigned policies, guidelines, checklists, and par sheets.
- Aid in meeting and exceeding department objectives.
- Conduct yourself professionally and positively.
- Motivate fellow staff and encourage efficiency.
- Display a positive attitude and contribute to a healthy team culture.
- Perform ad hoc duties to support the kitchen team and ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of prep or cooking experience is preferred.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Experience working more than one station at a time is considered an asset.
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in stressful situations.
- Food Handler's certification is an asset.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
