About the Role
Constellation is seeking highly motivated engineering students for paid Engineering Internships for Summer 2027. This 10-week program offers hands-on experience in power plant operations, working independently under a supervisor and mentor.
Responsibilities
- Utilize plant data systems to access equipment and performance reliability.
- Update maintenance documentation and work management systems.
- Assist plant staff with special projects.
- Enter plant asset information into Maximo.
- Report to the site Operations Manager and take day-to-day instructions.
Requirements
- Currently attending SUNY Stony Brook.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from SUNY Stony Brook.
- Junior standing, preferred.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States now and in the future.
- Willingness to work outdoors, in field locations, in a hands-on environment.
- Willingness to adhere to plant safety standards, procedures, and practices.
- Good comprehension of basic engineering practices.
- Good problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Strong computer skills, especially in spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organization skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and ability to work harmoniously with others in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to self-start and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and priorities.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
